Insurance
EWIW accepts insurance as an out-of-network (OON) provider. If your insurance has OON benefits and acupuncture benefits, we will be happy to bill for you, or provide you a bill to submit yourself. We do our best to limit out-of-pocket expenses for our patients. If for any reason your insurance does not cover our services, you may be billed for any balance due.

Medicare
Please note that Medicare only covers acupuncture for lower back pain and solely when it is administered by an MD or billed out of an MD’s office. If you have secondary insurance in addition to Medicare, it will also deny coverage for acupuncture treatments conducted by a licensed acupuncturist. This denial is based on the Medicare policy and guidelines.
Out-of-Pocket Fees
We do our best to keep costs as low as possible for our patients. If you are paying out-of-pocket we will charge you a fixed fee based on the type of session you book. Please note that Chinese herbs or nutritional supplements are billed separately.

Herbs and nutritional supplements
Cost varies depending on specific products and are not covered by insurance. We offer a 20% patient courtesy discount on all nutritional supplements through Dr. Ryan’s patient portal on Fullscript. More Info
